The Honors Chamber Orchestra, like all of the other honors ensembles, is selected by audition. This ensemble gives students an opportunity to perform more advanced, challenging orchestra literature and is open to students in grades 10-12. Students will also have additional responsibilities in performance, composition and self-directed projects.
Auditions for this ensemble will be on Exam Make-Up Day, Tuesday, January 24, 2017, from 8:00 am to 12:00 p.m. and on Wednesday, January 25. If you have not yet received a copy of the audition piece, print a copy from the link below. The piece is available on Smart Music to assist with practice (use the FIND MUSIC option). The audition will also include sight reading.
A sign-up for the audition time will be posted in the Orchestra room. Please sign up before the end of the school day on Friday, January 20. You can also email me the best time for you.
