A Mozart Birthday Contest! (deadline extended)

In celebration of Mozart's birthday, Music for Youth is sponsoring a poster, an essay and a composition contest in January! Submissions are due in the Music for Youth box in the music office on January 18th. At DHS, there will be a first place $100 winner and a second place $50 winner in each category (art, written word and music composition) announced on Mozart's birthday, January 27th. Each winner will also receive a certificate as the winner of the Music for Youth Mozart Creativity Award 2017. 

• In the poster category, all students need is one sheet of paper no larger than 12 X 18 inches and some thinking about Mozart and his music. 
• For the writing, 500 words (rap, tweet, essay, you name it!) inspired by Mozart's music or life.
• A music composition based on or inspired by Mozart's music of no more than 4 minutes may be submitted to Mr. Sadlon via e-mail or flash drive.
