Take Home Essay: Personal Review: Due at exam
The 600-word, take-home essay must be completed
by all Orchestra members. It is worth 30 points on the exam.

How have you improved this year as a performer and member of the
Orchestra? Include at least THREE areas in your response. These can
include rhythms, shifting/positions, bowing, vibrato, note reading, tone,
ensemble playing, practicing, etc. (200 words)

How has the Orchestra improved throughout the year? Include at
least TWO areas in your response. You can include style, phrasing,
accuracy of note and rest value, steadiness/precision, intonation (tuning),
tempo, expression, emotional involvement. (200 words)
3. CHAMBER ORCHESTRA: How can the Orchestra continue to improve? Include at least TWO areas---
style, phrasing, rhythmic accuracy, steadiness/precision, intonation (tuning),

3. CONCERT ORCHESTRA: Discuss your experience performing with your small ensemble. What were the positives and the negatives?
