Write a 12-measure DUET for non-pitched instrument (ex. wood block and triangle). It should be in 4/4 and in A B A format (meaning that the first four measures should be exactly like the last four measures).
Period 1 Concert Orchestra: Use a combination of quarter notes and eighth notes. Use rests, too.
Period 3 Chamber Orchestra: Use a combination of quarter notes, eighth notes, triplets and sixteenth notes. Use rests, too.
