For all orchestral instruments (strings, winds, brass, percussion), and candidates for the debut season of SYAP's Wind Ensemble.
Students from elementary school through college age are invited to audition.
Student musicians should prepare a piece which best exemplifies their current level of performance; more detailed audition criteria and further information may be found at www.syap.org.
SYAP sponsors three orchestras: Young Artists Philharmonic, performing advanced concert repertoire; Young People's Symphony, an upper-intermediate level full symphony; and Young String Ensemble, for intermediate string players; and three chamber ensembles - Young People's and Young Artists Jazz Ensembles, and Young Artists Wind Ensemble, which makes its debut this season under the direction of acclaimed oboist Gerard Reuter. Those interested in Jazz Ensembles should contact Joyce DiCamillo directly at executive director@syap.org for pre-authorization to attend the Fall Session.
