The DHS Orchestra has been invited to participate in a World Strides Music Festival in New York City on Saturday, April 27, 2019. This is an all-day event in New York City with an adjudicated performance at Riverside Church, sight-seeing in New York, awards ceremony in Riverside Church and a Circle Line dinner cruise around Manhattan. This has always been a highlight of the Orchestra year.
The cost of the trip is $285. This cost includes the Festival and dinner cruise, round trip bus transportation from Darien, lunch and sightseeing in New York. With fundraising from our annual pashmina sale and additional activities, the final cost may be reduced.
An initial payment to reserve our spot is due to Heritage Festivals by October 30. If your child is interested in this performance trip, please complete the registration form below and attach a non-refundable check for $50 made out to “DHS MUSIC”. The form should be returned by Friday, October 26.
Please let me know if you have any questions about this event. I’m hoping we can have full participation. We always have a wonderful experience, and I know the students are anxious to return to the Festival this year.
