To do this assignment, you will need Finale Notepad. You can download it here for $9.95. http://www.finalemusic.com/NotePad/ For now, you can click on "TRY IT" which allows you to use the program for free.
THE G MAJOR SCALE:
Using Finale Notepad, write out a G Major Scale, ascending and descending. Do NOT double the top note. Complete the assignment based on your class:
FRESHMEN: Write the scale in YOUR clef.
SOPHOMORES: Write the scale in TREBLE clef.
JUNIORS: Write the scale in TREBLE clef and BASS CLEF. The bass part should start on beat 3 of the first measure.
SENIORS: Write the scale in TREBLE clef , ALTO (VIOLA) clef and BASS clef. Each part should start two beats after the previous one.
