March in G

Due: Wednesday, November 7 at 10:22 a.m.

Using the March bass line that was e-mailed to you, write your own melody.
Freshmen/Sophomores: Write a single melody line with the accompanying bass line.
Juniors/Seniors: Write a duet part for the bass line.

Extra Credit:
Freshmen and Sophomores who write a duet will receive 5 extra points.
Juniors and Seniors who write one of the parts in a different clef will receive 5 extra points.

Directions:
1. Open the Finale Notepad file. This was created in Finale Notepad 2005.
2. Using the SELECT tool (dotted line box), block the entire bass line.
3. Under EDIT, choose COPY (or Ctrl+C)
4. Under FILE, choose NEW. Title the piece (Your Name)'s March.
Choose your one or two melody instruments and a contrabass. This is where you will paste your copied bass line.
Your piece should be in G MAJOR and be in 4/4 time.
5. In the new file, select the entire BASS part.
6. Go to EDIT, and choose PASTE. This should paste the bassline from the original.
