On Monday, October 29, a representative from Interlochen Center for the Arts will be in New Canaan to offer a presentation and question-and-answer session. Parents, teachers and students are invited to come and learn about opportunities for young artists and musicians.

About Interlochen:
Interlochen, the nation's first and foremost summer arts camp, offers programs in band, orchestra, jazz, choir, vocal performance, guitar, piano, harp and organ. Additional majors include creative writing, dance, motion picture arts, theatre and visual arts. Programs are available for students who will complete grades three through twelve in the current 2007-08 academic year. The 1,200-acre Interlochen campus is located in the woods of northwest Lower Michigan.
Each summer, 2,500 students from around the world visit Interlochen's campus to find artistic challenges, world-renowned faculty and like-minded peers. Interlochen also includes a fine arts boarding high school. In 2006, Interlochen was awarded the National Medal of the Arts, the nation's highest honor in the arts in recognition of decades of leadership in arts education and performance.
